£51,064 per annum, 37 hours per week

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Compliance Manager to ensure that the organisation meets all statutory regulations, Approved Codes of Practice (ACOP), official guidance standards and best practice. In this role, you will be responsible for managing landlord compliance across key safety areas, including gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos and water hygiene. You will ensure a robust risk management service to ensure performance is accurately monitored and reported. You will ensure that compliance, health and safety policies and Group Practices are updated, implemented and adhered to in line with current legislation and group policy. Additionally, you will oversee health and safety policies, procedures, and inspections across all assets, while driving a culture of safety and compliance through effective leadership of your team, training and performance monitoring. Collaborating with other teams across the organisation, you will maintain compliance schedules, manage risk assessments, and ensure incidents are investigated and resolved in line with legislation.

About you

The ideal candidate for this role will hold a NEBOSH qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline, alongside HHSRS Risk Management training or certification. You will bring proven experience in managing compliance, hazards, and health and safety within a social housing setting or similar, which a strong track record in risk management, budget preparation, and contractor performance assessment. An exceptional leader, you will have experience effectively managing and motivating teams, combined with extensive knowledge of key compliance areas. With excellent attention to detail, you will thrive under pressure, delivering results to deadlines and managing conflicting priorities. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, alongside IT proficiency, are essential, as is a customer-focused approach and the ability to report on performance management and KPIs accurately. A motivated, detail-driven professional who can lead and embed a culture of compliance would be suitable for this role.
