Arranged across three levels, Dora Matthews House has lift and wheelchair access throughout. Each of the apartments are well proportioned and designed to a high energy efficient specification.

With fitted kitchens, en-suite wetrooms to the main bedroom and an open plan lounge diner, the apartments provide ample space to relax. The spacious corridors and communal areas throughout the building have been decorated by specialist interior designers who are skilled in creating both functional and relaxing spaces.

Coleford is a market town in the west of the Forest of Dean,

Gloucestershire, England, two miles (3 km) east of the Welsh border and close to the Wye Valley. It is the administrative centre of the Forest of Dean district.

Dora Matthews House is within easy reach of the town centre with numerous buildings of historical interest and many local facilities including a good range of shops, cafés and a cinema.

Coleford has good public transport links to Monmouth, Gloucester, Ross on Wye and all parts of the Forest of Dean. The nearest Train station is 6 miles in Lydney.

The closest motorway connections are the M48 at Chepstow (14 miles) or the M50 at Ross-on-Wye (10 miles).

Cafe Sixteen is a friendly welcoming cafe offering fresh meals made from local ingredients supplied by local businesses.

Attached to Dora Matthews House Cafe Sixteen provides meals to eat in and which can be delivered to residents.

The cafe has won many awards and offers a varied menu with daily specials using seasonal ingredients.

9am – 3pm Monday to Saturday

The cafe can be booked for out of hours events by negotiation
