At Rooftop, we believe that looking after our people is an important part of providing a good service to our customers. That is why we have recently signed the Mindful Employer Charter, making a public commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our colleagues.
The Charter is a voluntary commitment for employers who want to promote better mental health at work. It encourages organisations to provide positive, non-judgemental and proactive support for people experiencing mental ill-health, while helping managers feel better equipped to support their teams.
For Rooftop, this means recognising that mental health is just as important as physical health. We want our colleagues to feel able to talk about their wellbeing, ask for help when they need it and know that they will be treated with understanding and respect.
Creating a supportive workplace also helps us build a great place to work where people can feel valued, included and able to do their best.
Signing the Charter is also a commitment to keep learning and improving. We will continue to review our approach to mental health and wellbeing, helping us reflect on what we are doing well and where we can make things better for our colleagues and customers.
