Rooftop has selected national provider Mears Group as our new long-term repairs and maintenance partner.
Services are transitioning to Mears from 1 June who will take over fully from 1 July 2026.
In the coming weeks, you may start seeing new faces as Mears transitions in, carrying out responsive repairs across our homes and communities while Platform Property Care (PPC) transitions out.
Some customers may also see operatives from Hewer carrying out gas and electrical safety checks.
We are working closely with all partners to ensure the changeover is as smooth as possible. While we are moving to new systems and new ways of working, there may be some temporary disruption, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
Please be assured:
- Emergency repairs will still be completed within our 24-hour timescale
- Any outstanding repairs will still be completed as usual
- You do not need to report outstanding repairs again
Meet and greet Mears on Friday, 5 June
Come and meet a Mears operative, have a look around one of their vehicles, ask questions about your new repairs and maintenance service.
- 9am – 11am: St Oswalds Retirement Village lobby, Gloucester, GL1 2UF
- 12 noon – 2pm: Grassed area next to the Fairfield Pub, Evesham WR11 1HS
- 3pm – 5pm: Grassed area at the meeting of Fulbert Road/Abbots Road, Pershore, WR10 1LN / WR10 1LL
